At Saint Louis University (SLU), part of my job was making sure the work Communication undergraduate students do got noticed online. To do this, I wrote copy for and helped develop a brand new Student Projects Page on the Communication Department’s website. In addition, I re-purposed the The SLU Communicator blog to incorporate student work and department news, also developing content and copy better reflecting the community the Communication Department fosters.

From 2006-11, I wrote a column for a quarterly agricultural industry publication entitled, Beyond the Bean (yup). These articles went out in print to over half-a-million U.S. soybean farmers, keeping them up-to-date about the product they create, including some interesting new uses for the versatile soybean.

Need legal or accounting advice? Well, I’m not the person for you. I can however edit legal and financial articles that give artists advice in these important matters. That’s exactly what I did as an editor for the Volunteer Lawyers & Accountants for the Arts in St. Louis. Take a look at the Band Q&A articles and their other helpful publications.

Here’s just two examples of the many press releases I’ve authored. Releases such as these often generated thousands of media impressions through subsequent client interviews requested by interested journalists, and other pick-up.

This is one sample of an op-ed I wrote which ran in the technical trade pub, Machinery Lubrication (uh-huh). Note that I did not get a byline here as I wrote it on behalf of a client.
